Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Ashiq Awan has failed to have a formal meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Punjab Governor's House, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

Sources said the former Punjab CM aide kept on waiting for a holding a formal meeting with the premier but no avail.

However, the insiders added, she attempted to hold talks with Imran Khan when the latter was heading to his helicopter to leave the Governor's House.

Earlier in the day, she was barred from entering the Punjab Assembly to attend the oath-taking ceremony of PTI MPA Ahsan Saleem Baryar.

Videos circulating on social media showed Firdous was stopped at the entrance. The officials showed her a list of guests and her name was struck off.
