Indian girl Anju (new name Fatima), who came to Pakistan to marry her friend Nasrullah in Upper Dir, has been granted a one-year visa extension, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Nasrullah, who is now Anju’s husband, said that he had requested the authorities to extend his wife’s visa for one year, adding that the visa had been extended for one year upon his request.

“The documents demanded by the Ministry of Interior have been provided. I am happy about the visa extension,” he said.

“A formal letter will also be received in the next 10 days. After receiving the letter, Anju will plan to stay here permanently,” he stated.

It is to be noted here that Indian girl Anju arrived in Pakistan’s Upper Dir to meet her friend Nasrullah on July 22 last. She accepted Islam, changed her name to Fatima and got married to Nasrullah.
