FIA Lahore Zone arrests human smuggler in Nankana Sahib crackdown
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has continued its crackdown against human smugglers, arresting a key suspect involved in human trafficking and visa fraud from Nankana Sahib, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested suspect has been identified as Muhammad Talha Latif. He is accused of deceiving naive people with false promises of overseas employment in Dubai and Bahrain.
Operating with accomplices, Latif allegedly collected a total of Rs 1.65 million from victims but failed to send them abroad.
The suspect not only failed to fulfill his promises but also went into hiding after receiving the payments.
During the arrest, FIA recovered 16 Pakistani passports from his possession, which were allegedly taken from the victims as part of the fraudulent scheme.
The FIA has launched an investigation into the case and is conducting raids to apprehend Latif’s accomplices.
