Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Vice-President Senator Sherry Rehman has strongly condemned Modi’s government's move to impose a ban on historical Kashmiri books, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

She termed the ban as a fascist move by Modi’s government. She said that this move is a direct attack on Kashmiris' right to intellectual freedom, which also exposed the undemocratic measures of the Indian government.

Senator Sherry Rehman said that India, which is afraid of books, admitted its failures because all those who wanted to crush independence movements through different measures became more popular.

She said that limitations are also damaging their reputation. Indians wanted to snatch books from Kashmiri youngsters to damage their identity.

Senator Sherry Rehman said that Indian miserably failed to understand that restrictions cannot stop ideology.
