FIA offloads passenger from Saudi Arabia-bound plane at Islamabad airport

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Islamabad airport on Saturday offloaded a passenger from a Saudi Arabia-bound plane after it was found out that he was travelling to the country on a tourist visa, which he obtained on the basis of US permanent residence card, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The passenger had boarded PIA flight PK-841 when he was taken into custody.

The passenger, who hailed from Peshawar, had paid Rs220,000 to an agent named Hussain for obtaining the visa.

During the scrutiny of his papers, it dawned upon the FIA officials that the man did not have a valid US permanent residence card. 

The suspect was later handed over to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for questioning.
