Ex-PM facing terrorism charges for staging protest against ECP decision regarding his disqualification

The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended the interim bail of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan till December 19, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Khan is facing terrorism charges for staging a protest against the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding his disqualification.

Imran Khan’s lawyer Babar Awan requested the court to grant an exemption to his client from appearance in today’s hearing as he is in Lahore. ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas accepted the plea as well.
