Nepra approves 33 33 paise hike in electricity price

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved a hike in electricity price by 33 paise per unit in quarterly adjustment for Karachi and the entire country, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

The approval has been given to increase the cost of electricity in the quarterly adjustment for July to September 2025. The implementation will be for the 3 months from December 2025 to February 2026. The quarterly adjustment will impose a burden of Rs 6.67 billion on electricity consumers.

Nepra sends decision to federal government through notification.
