DRAP imposes ban on sale of Aerosaf capsules and Taramakin tablets

Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) on Sunday issued an alert for fake antibiotic capsules and painkiller tablets – namely Aerosaf and Taramakin, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The DRAP declared all the above-mentioned medicines as substandard and imposed a complete ban on their sale.

DRAP said that Aerosaf 250 GM Capsule Batch HF 001 and Taramakin 225 mega tablet TRD 2002 are fake and forged.

DRAP further said that samples and quality of these tablets do not meet the required standards.

DRAP further advised all distributors of medicines not to sell such medicines in the market, while they further directed Regulatory Field Force to enhance surveillance of the markets to control the sale of prohibited medicine.

DRAP directed all field staff to take stern action against all those persons who were found involved in selling these fake and forge medicines.
