Ducky Bhai, co-accused indicted in gambling app promotion case
A Lahore court on Wednesday indicted YouTuber Ducky Bhai and co-accused in a gambling app promotion case, reported the 24NewsHD channel.
As Judicial Magistrate Naeem took up the hearing, the YouTuber and other co-accused appeared in court.
During the proceedings, he and the other co-accused pleaded not guilty, denying all allegations against them.
The court formally charge-sheeted him and the others, summoning prosecution witnesses for February 23.
The National Counter Crime Investigation Authority (NCCIA) registered the case.
The magistrate previously observed that Ducky Bhai's YouTube channel is considered “case property” and warned that uploading new content from that channel while the matter is sub judice is illegal.
The NCCIA registered the First Information Report (FIR) on August 17.
The allegations include promotion of illegal apps, such as 1xBet, Bet365, B9 Game, and Binomo, which allegedly defrauded users of millions of rupees.
The accused face charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 for electronic fraud, forgery, and spamming, as well as cheating under the Pakistan Penal Code.
Ducky Bhai was arrested at Lahore Airport in August and spent several months in custody before being granted post-arrest bail in November 2025.
This case has set a precedent for the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and local courts. The magistrate's ruling that a YouTube channel is "case property" means that influencers can now lose their digital assets if those platforms are used to commit or promote crimes.
The trial will resume on February 23, when the court will begin recording evidence and witness statements.
