ECP disposes of plea against Ishaq Dar’s Senate seat

The Election Commission of Pakistan has disposed of a plea urging the ECP to declare vacant the Senate seat of Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ECP on Monday pronounced its verdict which was reserved on 26 September 2022 on the application seeking ECP order to declare Ishaq Dar’s Senate seat vacant for not taking oath.
The hearing of the case was held at the Election Commission in Islamabad.
Ishaq Dar had returned to Pakistan from London in September 2022 and took oath as member of the Senate and finance minister.
