The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Monday told the Sindh High Court (SHC) that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had been asked to block all the social media accounts involved in the smear campaign against actress Kubra Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The FIA also submitted a report on the social media campaign against the Pakistani actresses including Kubra Khan.

Earlier, the SHC had directed the FIA and the PTA to block defamatory and scandalous online content on social media sites against Kubra Khan.

“The petition of Kubra Khan is being processed,” the FIA told the court.

“The PTA has been asked to block the YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and other social media accounts [involved in the defamatory campaign],” it added.

Kubra Khan, in her petition, that had been filed by her lawyer, stated: “The honour and dignity of me and other actresses have been hurt by false and fabricated allegations.”

She added: “YouTuber Adil Farooq Raja levelled serious allegation against four Pakistani actresses, but he later withdrew from her previous stance.”

The petitioner’s lawyer argued before the court that an irrecoverable damage was extended to the integrity of the petitioner and other actresses [due to these allegations].

He also maintained that the FIA and the PTA had been contacted, adding that no action against YouTube had been taken.

It is to be noted here that retired army officer Adil Raja had indirectly levelled serious allegations against some Pakistani actresses including Kubra Khan.

In response, Kubra Khan had warned Adil Raja of legal action if he did not come with the proof within three days.
