Justin Bieber up for UK festival comeback after nine years
Justin Bieber is reportedly in discussions to make a major live comeback in the UK, nearly a decade after he last performed a full concert on British soil.
The Canadian pop superstar, 31, is said to be in talks to headline a major UK festival later this year, marking his first potential return to the UK stage since 2017.
According to reports, the Sorry hitmaker could top the bill at London’s iconic British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park festival, which takes place across June and July.
If confirmed, Justin would join a star-studded lineup that is rumoured to include Lewis Capaldi, Maroon 5 and Pitbull.
Festival organisers are also said to be keen on securing him for their new sister event, Roundhay Festival in Leeds.
A source told The Sun that Bieber’s team are carefully planning his schedule following recent health and personal milestones.
“His team are very keen not to overload him,” the insider said. “But finally, bosses think they will be able to entice him back. It’s been a long time coming.”
Justin has already been announced as a headline act at California’s Coachella Festival in April, which would mark a significant return to large-scale live performances.
UK organisers are reportedly hopeful that momentum from Coachella could pave the way for a British appearance, either at a festival or through a one-off stadium show in London.
The singer’s last full UK concert was in the summer of 2017 as part of BST Hyde Park, although he did make a shorter appearance at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball at The O2 in December 2021.
In 2023, Justin was forced to cancel the UK leg of his Justice World Tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused partial facial paralysis.
At the time, Bieber shared an emotional video with fans explaining his condition and later admitted the illness made everyday activities, including eating, increasingly difficult.
He stepped back from touring to focus on his recovery.
A UK comeback would also be particularly significant as it would be Justin’s first British performance since starting a family with his wife, model and businesswoman Hailey Bieber.
The couple, who married in 2018, welcomed their son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024.
