PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit London privately, attend World Economic Forum in Davos

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to begin 2026 with a private visit to London, United Kingdom, before proceeding to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), diplomatic sources said Friday.

According to the sources, the prime minister will depart for London on January 17 on a private visit. He is expected to spend two days in the UK capital for personal engagements.

Diplomatic sources said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Davos from London on January 19. A high-level delegation will also accompany him to Switzerland.

During his stay in Davos, the prime minister will attend the 56th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, which will be held from January 19 to January 25.

Sources said the prime minister is also scheduled to hold meetings with other world leaders and participants on the sidelines of the WEF meeting.
