Policeman martyred in firing incident in Bajaur’s Mamond Tehsil

A policeman was martyred after coming under fire from unknown assailants in the Mamond Tehsil of Bajaur district, police said on Friday.

According to police, the firing incident took place in the Khawaro Kala area of Mamond Tehsil. The martyred policeman was identified as Rashid, a resident of Katkot.

Following the incident, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Raids are also being conducted at various locations to arrest those involved in the attack.

Police said that the funeral prayers of the martyred policeman will be offered at the Bajaur Police Lines.
