Humaira Asghar’s father refuses to receive body

Late actress Humaira Asghar Ali’s father has refused to accept her body after the completion of the postmortem, police sources confirmed on Wednesday.

He body was discovered in a decomposed state yesterday in her flat in Karachi where she had been living alone since 2018.

The death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, already mourning the recent loss of senior actress Ayesha Khan, 

Police confirmed that the body, found in a severely decomposed state, may be around 20 days old.

However, as per recent reports, police have approached her family shortly after the recovery of the body, but they refused to claim it, adding that they had severed all ties with her.

“We have cut off ties with her long ago. Do whatever you want with her body. We will not receive it,” the father said to the police.

The officials also claimed that they are making every possible effort to convince the family to arrive in Karachi promptly.

As per reports, the body of Humaira Asghar Ali has been shifted to the Chipa morgue.
