Suri cruises through NYC like regular New Yorker despite Tom’s $600m fortune

Despite being the daughter of Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise, 19-year-old Suri Cruise proved she’s just like any other New Yorker by hopping on the subway.

Suri, who is currently on break from her studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, was spotted in Manhattan heading toward a subway station. Dressed in a sporty silver asymmetric crop top and navy leggings, she looked effortlessly stylish while blending in with the city crowd.

With her dark hair swept back, Suri’s resemblance to her famous father was unmistakable. Tom Cruise, whose latest film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has earned over $575 million globally, is reportedly worth $600 million. Still, Suri chose public transportation over chauffeured rides, showing she hasn’t let fame or fortune change her down-to-earth lifestyle.

The daughter of Tom Cruise and actress Katie Holmes, Suri graduated from New York’s prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts before beginning college last fall.

Insiders say she’s leaning toward studying fashion and has a close-knit group of friends.

“Suri is turning into a very intelligent, mature young woman,” a source told DailyMail.com. “She knows exactly where she comes from.”

Katie Holmes, who gained fame from Dawson’s Creek, has been raising Suri since her 2012 divorce from Tom Cruise, which was finalised just ten days after filing. While Tom was granted visitation rights, he hasn’t been publicly seen with his daughter in over a decade, reportedly due to religious differences related to Scientology.
