Details of proposed subsidies in fiscal budget 2023-24

In the financial plan for the fiscal year 2023-24, it has proposed to set aside Rs1,300 billion for subsidies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

It has been suggested to allocate Rs975 billion for energy sector; Rs54 billion for petroleum sector; Rs30 billion for LNG supply; Rs56 billion for food security; Rs30 billion for utility stores; Rs12 billion for Mera Ghar Mera Pakistan Programme; Rs8 billion for Attock petroleum; Rs5 billion for Pak-Arab pipeline; Rs11 billion for PSO price differential; Rs2 billion for Islamabad Metro Bus Service; Rs7 billion for waving off loans of flood-affected farmers; Rs10 billion for the supply of wheat for Gilgit-Baltistan; Rs10 billion for supply of wheat for Pasco and Rs5 billion for Ramadan package.
