CM Maryam directs registration of all wedding halls

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz directed registration of all wedding halls in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The chief minister gave these directives while presiding over a special meeting about the registration of wedding halls in the province.

During the meeting, the chief minister also rejected all the proposals regarding the increase in taxes.

The Chief Minister directed all relevant departments to expand tax net instead of taxes.

The CM further said that she will not allow further burden on common man by imposing new taxes on him.

Maryam Nawaz said that it is not possible that those persons who registered their wedding halls get punishment but tax evaders enjoyed all privileges.

Maryam Nawaz said that a man with earning of two lakh rupees pays tax but those who are earning in millions trying to evade taxes.

She directed the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), Mines and Minerals and other relevant departments to adopt new measures to enhance revenue.
