PM summons special cabinet meeting tomorrow to finalise budget

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a special meeting of the federal cabinet tomorrow (Tuesday) to finalise the federal budget proposals for the upcoming financial year, official sources confirmed.

The crucial meeting is scheduled to be held at 4 PM at the Parliament House, where the cabinet is expected to give final approval to the Finance Bill before it is formally presented to the National Assembly.

Among the key items on the agenda is the approval of proposals for increasing salaries and pensions of government employees—a major point of public interest ahead of the new fiscal year.

The federal cabinet will also deliberate on broader budgetary measures designed to tackle economic challenges and meet revenue targets.
