Momina Iqbal’s sister responds to allegations against actress
Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has once again found herself at the centre of an ongoing controversy surrounding her personal life.
As speculation continued to grow, her sister, Rimsha Iqbal, stepped forward in an interview to address the claims and share her side of the story.
Rimsha rejected allegations suggesting that Momina had secretly entered into a marriage, questioning the credibility of the claims and the lack of evidence supporting them.
She challenged those spreading the rumours to verify official records through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
According to Rimsha, one of the biggest issues with the allegations is that no specific individual has publicly come forward as the alleged husband.
The controversy has also included speculation about Momina's travel history, particularly regarding trips to the United Arab Emirates.
Addressing these reports, Rimsha denied that her sister never travelled with the individual linked to the allegations.
She explained that Momina's UAE visits were work related and far shorter than what has been claimed online.
Rimsha further stated that the family possesses official documentation, campaign details and shooting schedules that can verify the professional nature of those visits.
Rimsha also expressed concern that the original issue has been overshadowed by what she described as an attempt to shift public attention toward unrelated narratives.
She claimed that discussions surrounding financial transactions and alleged videos were being introduced to divert focus from the core matter.
Rimsha urged people to focus on verified facts rather than speculation.
Other revelation from the interview was Rimsha's claim that the family had received warnings before the rumours surfaced publicly.
According to her, they were informed approximately three days in advance that several individuals would be brought forward to make damaging statements about them.
She alleged that the purpose of these efforts was to tarnish their reputation and portray them negatively in the public eye.
