Lahore and Gujranwala's seven human smugglers arrested
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four human smugglers during an operation from Lahore, reported the 24HD TV channel on Sunday.
According to FIA spokesperson, 101 Pakistani passports, 15 Pakistani identity cards, and 2 fake Malaysian visas were recovered from the suspects.
The arrested suspects include Muhammad Rashid, Aqdas Ali, Nazim, and Omar.
Mobile phones and other records were also recovered from the suspects.
The suspects were receiving passports and huge amounts of money from citizens without a license in the name of employment abroad.
The suspects failed to give a satisfactory answer to the authorities regarding the recovered passports and other documents.
The raid was carried out on the instructions of the Director, Lahore Zone.
The suspects were arrested, and an investigation has been initiated. Raids are being conducted to arrest other suspects.
Meanwhile, the ringleader of the notorious Chinioti gang involved in human trafficking was arrested during an operation in Gujranwala. The accused was identified as Ghulam Mustafa.
The Chinioti gang is involved in extorting millions of rupees in the name of sending innocent citizens to Europe.
The accused received more than 40 million rupees in the name of sending 34 victims to Europe.
So far, 9 members of the 11-member Chinioti gang have been arrested. Two members of the Chiniot gang are operating the gang from abroad, and Interpol is being contacted to arrest them.
FIA Gujranwala also arrested a suspect and agent involved in sending citizens to Europe by sea.
Suspects Shabbir Ahmed and Muhammad Javed were arrested from Gujarat and Narowal areas.
