Six girls die in incident of roof collapse at Karachi’s Afghan camp

Six girls were killed, while six others were injured when the roof of their under-construction house caved in at an Afghan camp in Gulshan-e-Maimar area of Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

The girls were between three-years old and 15 years old. 

The deceased were identified as seven-year-old Nasreen, 15-year-old Saadia, three-year-old Ayesha, eight-year-old Kainat, eight-year-old Eshaal and nine-year-old Sania. 

Those who were injured were: 40-year-old Mikael, 37-year-old Nasira, three-year-old Noman, and seven-year-old Asif.   

The injured and the injured were shifted to a hospital. 

According to reports, a new roof of the house was under-construction, while the building material had been placed on the old one.

Unluckily, the children were dining under the old roof when it came down crashing on them.

The incident took place at 10:00 PM last night.  

A passerby dies after being hit by car

A passerby was killed after he was hit by a car near Lal Kothi at Shahrah-i-Faisal in Karachi.   

Rescue officials said that the identity of the deceased could not be ascertained. However, he was 30 years old, they informed.

They further said that the body had been shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
