Punjab shifts all educational institutions to online mode amid economic crisis

In response to the ongoing economic crisis, the Punjab government has decided to shift all educational institutions across the province to online learning.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced the decision through a post on social media, stating that physical classes in schools and colleges will remain suspended from March 10 to March 31.

Despite the closure of campuses, the minister clarified that academic activities will continue through online classes to ensure that students’ education is not disrupted.

He further said that Grade 8 examinations will be conducted according to the previously announced schedule, while the school-based assessment process will also continue without any changes.

The education minister also confirmed that board examinations will take place as scheduled, assuring students and parents that the academic calendar will not be affected.

According to the announcement, educational institutions will remain closed for physical attendance during the specified period, but teachers will continue delivering lessons through online platforms.
