Pir Pagaro’s son among 285 infected by corona in Pir Jo Goth

The number of coronavirus cases in Pir Jo Goth tehsil of Khairpur district climbed to 285 after another 251 people were tested positive for the virus, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
But these coronavirus patients also include a political and religious personality Pir Syed Rashid Shah Rashdi – an MPA from the PML-F which is part of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA). He is the son of Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi commonly known as Pir Pagaro.
As a result, several areas have been completely sealed in Pir Jo Goth, Khairpur Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Naeem Sandhu said, adding that the latest results came after a total of 316 people were screened two days ago.
Apart from sealing different localities, the DC said, isolation wards had been established at the local hospital in Pir Jo Goth.
Police and Rangers have been deployed in the areas affected by the coronavirus, he added.
On Saturday, the number of coronavirus cases in Sindh province has risen to 9,691 with the death toll standing at 175.
While reacting to the federal government’s decision to end the countrywide lockdown in phases starting Saturday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a news briefing on Friday announced that the province will ease the lockdown from Monday.
The chief minister had said there will be a “100% lockdown” on Saturdays and Sundays. He said industries related to the constructions sector will operate as per the SOPs.
