Frist phase of LB polls in Sindh from June 26 next

LB polls in 32 districts of Balochistan besides Quetta, Lasbela will be held on May 29

The first phase of local bodies elections in Sindh will be held on June 26 next and the returning officers (ROs) will issue public notices on May 10 (tomorrow) in this regard, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Candidates will submit nomination papers to the ROs concerned from May 10 to 13.

The local bodies’ elections in 16 districts of Sindh will be held on July 24, 2022.

Work on the delimitation of the constituencies for the local bodies’ elections in Karachi West and Kimari has been underway since April 18 last.

“Work on the delimitation of the constituencies will be completed on May 31,” said the election commission.

Balochistan Local Bodies Elections

The revised lists of the candidates contesting local bodies elections in Balochistan have been displayed.

These lists have been displayed at the offices of the ROs concerned.

“Candidates may withdraw their candidature for the local bodies’ elections on Monday (today),” said the election commission.

“The final list of the candidates will be released on May 10 and election symbols will be allotted,” it added.

“The local bodies’ elections in 32 districts of Balochistan besides Quetta and Lasbela will be held on May 29 next,” it stated.

“The schedule for the local bodies’ elections for Quetta and Lasbela will be announced later,” it declared.
