Ali Amin Gandapur who threatened to take over Islamabad in case of ex-PM Imran Khan's arrest, has not come out of his home so far.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, there are no protests in the southern parts of the PTI stronghold KP in the wake of the arrest of party chief Imran Khan.

Up to 70 people staged a symbolic show of solidarity with their leader near Qureshi Mor in Dera Ismail Khan. However, the local leadership could not show up.

Despite the call for protest from the central leadership, no protest took place in North and South Waziristan districts, Tank, Lakki Marwat and Bannu.

Reportedly, Ali Amin Gandapur threatened to take over the capital in case of Imran's arrest.

“My first message is for the PDM government: We will lay siege to Islamabad through the people’s power,” he warned in an audio message.
