2,956 new companies registered in April
The engine of the economy started to gain momentum and the avenues for employment and investment opened as 2,956 new companies were registered in April 2025 only, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), 2,757 companies were registered in March and that is an increase of 200 companies was recorded in just one month.
According to the report, 99.9 percent of the registration process was completed digitally.
As many as 584 companies were registered in IT and e-commerce, 402 in the commercial sector, 363 in services, while 255 companies entered real estate.
About 140 companies were registered in food and beverages, 131 in education, 59 in farming, 66 in textiles and marketing, 55 in pharmaceuticals and 54 in concrete.
According to the SECP report, 108 new companies were registered in the engineering, fuel and energy and chemical sectors.
