India behind terrorism in Pakistan, ISPR DG briefs international media

The military spokesperson reiterated on Friday that Pakistan would carry out strikes inside India “at a time, place and means of our choosing".

Briefing the international media about the Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, who is director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said the Indian government and the media cooked up a story about an attack by Pakistan a day earlier. Responding to the fake Indian claims, Chaudhry said, “Don’t worry! You are so found of Pakistan firing at you, we will fulfill your demand at a time, place and means of our choosing.”

During the press briefing, Chaudhry presented to the international media proofs of India’s history of carrying out terrorist attacks on its territory and then blaming them on Pakistan. He showed video interviews of Lt-Gen KS Gill (Retd) of the Indian Army, former governor of Indian-occupied Kashmir Satya Pal Malik and some Kashmiri people exposing how the Indian government plans and executes fake terror attacks and then blames these on Pakistan.

Giving the evidence of the Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan, the military spokesman showed various Indian politicians, military figures and insurgent leaders explaining how they have been and how they can fuel terrorism in Pakistan. He showed a spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), the militant group that recently hijacked a train in Pakistan and killed dozens of Pakistani citizens, speaking on a live show on an Indian news channel.

He said that Pakistani intelligence agencies and security forces have been tightening the noose around the Indian-sponsored terrorism. He said that Indian aggression is an attempt to divert Pakistan’s attention from the counterterrorism operations.

Responding to a reporter's question, the military spokesperson said he does not have the exact number of people killed in the Indian attacks, but he can confirm that there is not combat related death of any soldier in Pakistan.   

The ISPR spokesperson was accompanied by high ranking officials of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy.

'33 martyred, 62 wounded in India attacks'

Chaudhry stated that so far 33 civilians have been martyred and 62 others injured as a result of Indian aggression.

He said: “That’s the cost we have paid.” “Each and every drop of blood is in the conscience of the armed forces, the people and the state of Pakistan.” He said that India was frustrated over the downing of French-manufactured modern Rafale fighter jet by Pakistan. The DG ISPR warned that India has put global peace at risk.

'India funding terrorist camps'

The DG ISPR stated that New Delhi was involved in terror financing and was sponsoring cross-border terrorism.

He said terrorist camps were running in India, adding that they themselves were confessing that they were sponsoring terrorists in Balochistan. “India is involved in terrorism not only in Pakistan but also in Canada,” he added.

The military’s spokesperson said that New Delhi was supporting different terrorist groups in Pakistan, including “Fitna al Khawarij” — a term widely used for outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). “The time has come to question the Indian government,” he added.

The DG ISPR further said that the one of the objectives of Pahalgam attack and the subsequent Indian actions is to divert Pakistan armed forces and security agencies attention from anti-terror operations in the country.

“Government of Pakistan, its armed forces and security forces are on daily basis tightening noose around India-sponsored terrorism. One of the objectives is to distract and divert the security agencies and armed forces from this counter-terrorists operations,” he added.
