Notorious dacoit shot dead in encounter with Arifwala police

Most-wanted dacoit was killed during an encounter with Crime Control Department (CTD) in Arifwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to the details, the dacoit who was later identified as Mustafa alias Musti was involved in a triple murder while there were 25 criminal cases were registered against him which includes attempted murder, dacoity and snatching.

Sources said that when a police party reached village 1EB to arrest the proclaimed offenders who were in hiding, the dacoits opened fire on them.

During heavy exchange of firing between CTD personnel and dacoits one dacoit was killed and two of his colleagues managed to escape from the scene.

Later, the CTD personnel shifted the dead body of the dacoit to local hospital.

Further investigation was under way.
