National Athletics Championship postponed due to intense heat wave in Karachi

The Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) has postponed the 54th National Athletics Championship following requests from participating institutions, including the Pakistan Navy, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday. 

The Sehata National Athletics Championship had been scheduled to take place in Karachi from May 14 to 17.

According to officials, the Pakistan Navy requested a postponement due to severe weather conditions, prompting the federation to delay the event until October or November this year.

The federation said significant expenditures had already been made for preparations ahead of the championship.

Officials added that all relevant institutions and provincial associations had been formally informed about the revised schedule.
