In a startling revelation, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finance department has found that male candidates were appointed in the Mardan health department against the female vacancies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

In this very strange case, the male candidates were appointed on seats assigned for females at the District Health Office (DHO).

The finance department found that salaries of 41 people were being withdrawn by male staff of the DHO under the code of lady health workers (LHWs). 

After detecting the deceit, the finance department stopped paying salaries to these fraudulent appointees. 

According to documents, the health department hired 200 people in 2022. All vacancies were filled. However, strangely the DHO appointed 41 males on female posts.

For nine months, salaries were given to these male appointees under the code of lady health workers.
