Pakistan Women's cricket team clinched the three-match series against their Ireland counterparts, winning the third One-Day International (ODI) by five wickets here at Qaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, batting first, Ireland Women gave a target of 226 to Pakistan and its all players were out. Pakistan Women chased the score while losing 5 wickets.
Ghulam Fatima's maiden ODI five-wicket haul backed up by half-centuries from Sadaf Shamas and Bismah Maroof helped Pakistan secure a comfortable five-wicket win over Ireland and complete a 3-0 series sweep in Lahore.
Fatima was named Player of the Match while Ameen, having scored 277 runs in the three-match series, was named Player of the Tournament.
Meanwhile, Ambassador of Ireland to Islamabad Sonya McGuinness has hosted a dinner in honor of women's cricket teams of Pakistan and Ireland, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The members of both teams, management, and others attended the dinner held in a local hotel on Wednesday. The ambassador of Ireland met the players and apricated them for playing a wonderful series.
