Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi pays tributes to Allama Iqbal

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday paid glowing tributes to the Poet of the East, Allama Mohammad Iqbal, on his 148th birthday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In his message, the interior minister said that Iqbal's poetry awakened a sense of self-respect and dignity in the Muslims of India.

He said, “Pakistan is the fulfillment of Iqbal's dream and its protection is the responsibility of all of us.”

Naqvi further said, “Allama Iqbal's thoughts are still a source of guidance for us today. The philosophy of ‘Khudi’ gave young people high morale, unwavering faith, and self-confidence.”

He further stated “Iqbal's poetry is a timeless message that calls for action and thought. We must strive for the development, unity and peace of Pakistan by following the principles of Iqbal.”

Iqbal's thoughts are a beacon of hope for the youth.

He emphasized that today there was a need to adopt Iqbal's message for the development and progress of our country.

“May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to follow Iqbal's thoughts and take our country to the heights of development,” he concluded.
