Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) federal government released 168 No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for 32,651 posts in the last nine months.

The 24News HD TV channel reported on Saturday at least five million unemployed people applied for the recruitment on the said posts.

The report said the recruitment was for various posts from Naib Qasid (peon) to officers in different federal ministries, divisions and subsidiaries.

The report said the highest number of applications were made for the posts in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

For the 1143 posts in FIA as many as 1.29 million people applied while for the only nine posts of Assistant Directors in the same department, more than 52 thousand people applied.

The report further disclosed that more than 300,000 candidates were approached for the recruitment of 149 inspectors in the FIA.
