Prof Dr Samar Yousuf elected Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences

The prominent Pakistani scientist professor Dr. Samar Yousaf has been elected as Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), an organization established to promote science in developing countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Dr. Samar membership will be effective from January 1, 2026. This global honor is given to scientists who have made significant contributions to scientific progress in developing countries. 

Prof Samar Yousaf is currently serving as a Professor at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi and is also a COMSTEC Distinguished Scholar. Her research record is impressive, as she has published over 260 research papers to date, which have received over 3,900 citations, and an h-index of 32. Moreover, her election as a TWAS Fellow is a clear recognition of his distinguished contributions to the field of chemistry, his exceptional abilities in scientific research, and his commitment and passion for promoting research and innovation in the developing world. 

On this occasion, Prof Dr Iqbal Chaudhry, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTEC and TWAS Vice President for South and Central Asia, congratulated Dr. Samar Yousuf on achievement. He termed it a source of pride for the scientific circles of Pakistan and OIC countries.
