Aleema Khan stages sit-in outside Adiala Jail, demands meeting with PTI founder
Aleema Khan, sister of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has staged a sit-in outside Adiala Jail demanding a meeting with her detained brother on Tuesday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
She vowed not to end her protest until she was granted access to see him.
Aleema Khan drew the attention of both PTI workers and law enforcement authorities.
“I will not end this sit-in until I am allowed to meet my brother,” she declared, standing firm despite heavy security.
In response, a large contingent of police personnel was deployed outside the jail to maintain order.
Reports indicated that some PTI leaders and workers had already been taken into custody.
The authorities are preparing a course of action in response to the planned protest and the activities of PTI supporters.
The officials were also said to be considering calling in additional reinforcements to manage the situation as tensions between PTI supporters and security forces continued to rise.
