ECP releases final lists of successful candidates in Sindh local bodies by-elections

The Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday released the final list of successful candidates on 67 seats in 22 districts of Sindh province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In 24 local government seats, the candidates were declared successful unopposed, while on 5 seats the nominations were not submitted. The elections on the rest 38 local government seats in Sindh will be held on September 24. The Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh, Aijaz Chohan instructed DROs, ROs and polling staff to remain alert during the election process.

According to the details, the districts included in 38 local government seats are, Kashmore, Qambar, Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, Matiari and in other districts of Karachi. The by-elections will be held on five local government seats in three districts in Karachi. 

The PPP, Jamaat-e-Islami, TLP, JUI-F, PTI and independent candidates will be contesting in these by-elections. The ECP also released the list of withdrawn candidates.
