The upgradation of Aabpara police station in Islamabad has been completed as part of efforts to develop police stations of the federal capital on modern lines, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the newly upgraded police station on Wednesday. 

He went round different sections of the station.

He visited the SHO office, DRC, inquiry office, waiting area and other sections.

He reviewed the facilities being provided to citizens at counters, and expressed his satisfaction.

The minister also met with the members of dispute resolution committee, and praised the committee’s performance.    

Speaking on the occasion, Naqvi said that the purpose of the project was to provide modern, dignified and people-friendly policing.  

He directed the police personnel to behave politely with the complainants and leave no stone unturned to address their grievances. “There should be no delay in the registration of an FIR,” the minister directed. 

He, on the occasion, was briefed about the police station’s upgradation. 

IGP Islamabad, DIG, SSP Operations and other police officers were also present on the occasion.
