ECP will make just recommendations in foreign funding verdict: Kanwar

Former secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad has said that the institute will only make some recommendations to the government in its verdict in the foreign funding case.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the former ECP secretary said that it is the job of the government to take action on the recommendations of the commission.

Kanwar Dilshad said after the decision of the ECP, it will be the responsibility of the federal government to take action according to the constitution.

The former secretary said the Commission is authorized to take action against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

But, he added that the PTI or Imran Khan may file a review appeal on the ECP’s decision in the Supreme Court.
