Germany acknowledges Pak peace efforts

Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Heiko Maas called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and overall regional security situation including Afghanistan and bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed. 

The German dignitary acknowledged Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and thanked the COAS for assistance rendered by Pakistan during evacuations from Kabul.

The COAS said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Germany and expressed the desire for enhanced mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
