The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf core committee has repeated its demand for the release of party leadership and activists at the earliest, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

According to a statement, the PTI core committee in a meeting showed concerns over ‘slow pace of the court proceedings’ of the cases against party founder Imran Khan

It called for speeding up the process of hearing of the cases so as he could be set free at the earliest.

It demanded that ECP should restore the PTI’s electoral t symbol “bat” without any delay.

The participants stressed that the electoral body did not have any legal justification to delay the restoration of the symbol because the party had already submitted all the relevant details of the intra-party elections.

The forum flayed the postponement of the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and termed it an open violation of the Constitution, an attack on the unity and solidarity of the federation and an attempt to violate the public right to vote.

It condemned the attempts to tarnish the democracy through incomplete houses and the making people right to vote ineffective with criminal support of the electoral watchdog.

The core committee showed solidarity with the judges receiving poisonous letters and called for steps to avert such acts and bring to book the culprits at the earliest.

The body announced first public gathering under the Grand Alliance with opposition parties on April 13 in Pishin district of Balochistan.
