Punjab Cabinet Meeting: ministers furious over facilities for bureaucracy

Punjab ministers in the cabinet meeting voiced concerns over the facilities given to the bureaucrats especially the renovation of residencies and projection of their performance on social media.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Punjab cabinet meeting was held here in Lahore on Wednesday in which the ministers opposed different restrictions on them to save the national exchequer.

During the Wednesday cabinet meeting, provincial minister Fiaz ul Hassan Chohan opposed TORs proposed by the provincial frugality committee for the Punjab cabinet members.

According to the inside story, on the initiative of Fiaz ul Hassan Chohan other ministers also raised their voices and the TORs for only ministers.

They objected to the TORs saying that the bureaucrats were free for renovations of their official residences but the ministers were restricted to do so was an injustice.

Punjab ministers also objected to a proposal to impose a ban on the discretionary funds of the provincial ministers.

They also strongly opposed the act of bureaucracy to highlight its performance on social media.

Chohan challenging the authorities of the bureaucracy in Punjab said in the parliamentary system all over the world, ministers were in charge of their departments.
