Layyah man rapes daughter-in-law for ‘not having children’

A man allegedly raped his daughter-in-law for not giving birth to a child despite being married for 10 years in the Kot Sultan police precincts in Layyah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The police registered a case against accused Haq Nawaz on the complaint of the rape victim and started conducting raids for his arrest.

Shaista Parveen, the rape victim, told the police that she had been a married woman for 10 years but got no children.

She alleged that her father-in-law raped her for not giving birth to a child despite being married for 10 years.

She demanded justice from Layyah District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Nida Umar Chattha, seeking a severe punishment to the accused.
