Children take out traditional procession on eve of 1st Muharram

As soon as the moon of Muharram appeared Monday night, children took out a traditional mourning procession at Mochi Gate in Lahore.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the procession took out from Hussainia Hall and after passing several imambargahs it culminated at the same place.
The children participating in the procession said that every year when the moon of Muharram appeared, they come out of their houses and took the procession in connection with the commemorations of the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.
The participants of the rally wearing black dresses chanted slogans in favour of Hussainiat and against the Yazidiat. They said the start of this holy month reminded them of the message of promoting harmony, brotherhood, and love for humanity.
