PML-N files petition in ECP; seeks re-polling in PP-38

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) filed an application in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday, demanding re-polling in PP-38, Sialkot, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Party candidate Tariq Subhani also requested for the forensic audit of the by-election held in the constituency on July 28, 2021.

Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had won the by-poll in PP-38, Sialkot by not a very wide margin.

PTI candidate Ahsan Saleem Baryar unofficially won with a margin of 7,117 votes on Wednesday.
