ECP’s show-cause notice to PTI chief comes to light

The show-cause notice of the Election Commission of Pakistan for the confiscation of the PTI prohibited funds has come to light, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The ECP issued notice to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf through its chairman Imran Khan on August 5. The notice mentioned funds worth more than $2.1 million given to the party by Arif Naqvi.
The notice also referred to funds amounting to $13,750 given by Indian national Romita Shetti and other funds received from America, Canada and other countries.
The ECP wonders why the PTI’s prohibited funds could not be confiscated! It asked the PTI chief to give explanation regarding prohibited funds before the ECP on Aug 22 at 10am.
