A full court reference in honour of retiring Supreme Court Justice Sajjad Ali Shah was cancelled on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Friday last had apologised to attend the full court reference.

It is to be noted here that Justice Sajjad Ali Shah is going to retire on August 13 and the Supreme Court was to convene a full court reference in his honour on August 11.

But, the SCBA declined to attend the function, nor will it be able to arrange a dinner in honour of the retiring judge as the SCBA representatives will be out of the country from Aug 8 to Aug 17.

However, the bar members will host a dinner in honour of ex-judge Mazhar Alam and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah after their return from abroad.
