The poverty has claimed another three lives in Faisalabad as an unemployed man who was not sure from where to eke out his living ended his and his two daughters’ miserable lives, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The apathy of rulers and society is galore as three innocent lives have been sacrificed at the altar of poverty and there is no remedy to cure the ill. 

Reportedly, Atiquer Rehman was jobless for the last seven months. He had been living in a rented house along with his daughters for the last 15 years. 

Since he was unemployed, he got no source of income to pay the bills and provide for the sustenance of his family. 

Unable to bear the enormous economic pressure, the dejected father first killed his two daughters by slitting their throats open and then committed suicide. 

The slain girls were identified as 16-year-old Alishba, a student of first year, and 10-year-old Zainab who was student of grade 6.
