Seven people were killed while six were seriously injured in a collision between Hilux van and Mazda truck at Layyah’s Chobara area while four people died when their car was swept away by floodwater in Zhob district of Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The condition of all six injured was said to be critical.

As soon as they learnt about the incident, Rescue 1122 personnel reached the site and shifted both the dead and the injured to tehsil headquarters hospital where an emergency was declared in view of the situation.  

Rescue personnel told media that the van, carrying 14 passengers, was heading from Layyah to Garh Morr.

Four die as car washed away by floodwater in Zhob

In yet another accident, four people, two women and two kids, died while two were injured when a car, heading from Islamabad to Quetta, was washed away by floodwater on the national highway in Zhob, Balochistan.

Rescue personnel shifted the dead as well as the injured to hospital.

They added that they managed to rescue one man and a woman.
