Mild tremors of an earthquake were felt in the Zhob district of Balochistan and its surroundings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 3.0 on the Richter scale. The quake was at a depth of 30km, according to the seismological centre.

A few days back, a quake of mild intensity hit several cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The quake hit Bajaur, Upper and Lower Dir, Chitral and Kurram areas. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.8 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre located in the Hindukush mountain range at a depth of 196 kilometres beneath the surface.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in other KP cities including Malakand, Khyber, Landi Kotal and Peshawar.

The cities which were shaken by the quake in Punjab included Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Kharian, Faisalabad and Hafizabad.

However, no loss of life or property was reported.
